A journey to Jordan offers a captivating exploration of history and natural beauty. The iconic city of Petra, hewn from sandstone cliffs by the Nabataean civilization, stands as a testament to human ingenuity and architectural prowess. Conversely, the expansive desert of Wadi Rum presents an awe-inspiring landscape, evoking a sense of timelessness.

Beyond these iconic sites, the Dead Sea provides a unique opportunity for therapeutic relaxation, while the capital city of Amman showcases a dynamic blend of ancient Roman heritage and modern urban life. Coupled with the nation’s celebrated hospitality and opportunities for adventurous pursuits, a visit to Jordan promises a deeply enriching and transformative experience.

Amman, Ajlun & Mountain Breeze (80 Km)

Breakfast. Morning transfer north to visit the town of Ajlun with its fortress, one of the best-preserved examples of mediaeval Arab military architecture in the entire Middle East, which was once governed by Saladin. Enjoy the magnificent view into the Jordan Valley. Ajlun Rock Rose Trail for 3-4 hours. Transfer to Gilead Mountains, around 30 minutes drive from Al-Salt City, where you will enjoy the stunning landscapes and views along with the warm hospitality and countless activities. Overnight at hotel

Mountain Breeze, Mt. Nebo, Madaba, Shobak & Petra (308 Km)

Breakfast. Depart to visit Mount Nebo, the spot where the Hebrew Bible says that Moses stood and witnessed the "promised land". The view from the summit provides a panorama of the Holy Land and, to the north, a more limited one of the valley of the River Jordan. The West Bank city of Jericho is usually visible, as is Jerusalem on a very clear day. Visit the Monastery and the Moses Memorial Church. Depart to visit the Christian Town of Madaba "The City of Mosaics”. You will be visiting the St. George church with its mosaic map of the Holy Land from Byzantine times, and the Archaeological Park, which houses the remains of several Byzantine churches, including the amazing mosaics of the Church of the Virgin. The park complex includes a school for the restoration and conservation of ancient mosaics. Visit the church with the mosaic map of the Holy Land from Byzantine times. We will then move to Shobak to visit the massive Crusader's fortress, originally called Montreal, which was strategically located on a hill along the pilgrimage and caravan routes from Syria to Arabia. Perched in a wild, remote landscape, it is especially imposing when seen from a distance. Transfer to south Petra. Overnight at hotel

Petra

Breakfast. We will start our journey to explore Petra, aptly described as the “Rose-Red city, half as old as time”. The ancient city was founded by the Nabateans 2000 years ago. Its massive architectural structure and its multicoloured stones are an incredible attraction. The visit of the ancient Nabatean capital starts on horseback, followed by a walk through the Siq, a long narrow fissure between two overhanging cliffs. Towards the end of the Siq, you will be spellbound by Petra's most famous monument; the Treasury. The tour then proceeds to gradually unfold the mysteries of the city. Return to your hotel in Petra. Overnight at hotel

Petra, Little Petra (Backway hike) & Wadi Rum (130 Km)

Breakfast. Transfer to Little Petra, where you will start your day hiking. Enter Petra via ‘The Back Door’ avoiding most of the visitors. This way follows a Nabataean route out of the valley and skirting around the mountains to a natural rock terrace. It narrows slightly before reaching a hidden plateau high above the impressive chasm of Wadi Siyyagh. Just beyond, carved into the cliff face, ‘The Monastery’ suddenly comes into view, where there is a Bedouin café for refreshments if you would like. Nabataean steps then lead down into ancient Petra. . Early afternoon, continue south to the enchanting desert of Wadi Rum, Jordan's largest desert and one of the most spectacular desert landscapes in the world. Overnight at Camp. Dinner and overnight at camp.

Wadi Rum

Breakfast. Full day visit to Wadi Rum desert, Jordan's largest desert and one of the most impressive desert landscapes in the world. Discover the beauty of the "Moon Valley" in a guided hiking tour including a one-hour camel ride. Lunch inside the desert. Dinner and overnight at camp.

Wadi Rum, Dana & Dead Sea (350 Km)

Breakfast. Transfer to the Dana Biosphere Reserve, for a hiking experience. The reserve is remarkable for its diverse habitats and the large number of plant and animal species that live there. Apart from its wildlife, the reserve is rich with archaeological sites and local culture.

Transfer to the Dead Sea, the lowest point on the surface of the earth for a swim in its warm, salty waters. Free time at leisure at the Dead Sea resort.

Overnight at hotel

Dead Sea

Breakfast. Free day at leisure at the Dead Sea. Due to its high salinity, one can only float in its warm, oily waters. The mud along the shore contains many minerals and is believed to have medicinal and therapeutic benefits. Overnight at hotel

Dead Sea, Jerash & Amman City Tour (155 Km)

Breakfast. Proceed to visit the Greco-Roman City of Jerash, also known as the City of the thousand columns. Jerash showcases the grandeur of Imperial Rome (and is sometimes referred to as the Pompeii of the East). It is considered one of the largest, and most well- preserved sites of Roman architecture in the World outside Italy. As the most pristine Decapolis City (meaning ten cities in Greek) in the modern world, Jerash’s prosperity can be admired in the collonaded main street and lovely Oval Piazza. Departure to Amman to start its City Tour, where you will visit Jebel al-Qala'a (the Citadel), with its remains of the Roman Temple of Hercules, Umayyad Palace and excellent views over downtown. The National Archaeological Museum, home to ancient findings from the whole country, is located on the Citadel grounds. Continue to the impressive Roman Theatre, the largest in Jordan, with room for 6,000 spectators. The small Folklore Museum and Museum of Popular Traditions are adjacent to the Theatre. Free time for walking/shopping in bustling markets of the downtown area, locally known as al-Balad. Transfer to your hotel in Amman for a free evening at leisure. Overnight at hotel
